7 days

So I am not working a lot this week. My boss is out of town so all I am doing is taking care of her cats and fish. I have decided that if my future husband wants a cat then he can clean the litter box. That crap is nasty. Anywho… I leave in 7 days and I am just finishing some stuff up before I go. I have been working on cleaning my room… it’s a process. I have also been going through my clothes and deciding what I want to take with me and what else I need to buy to make a complete wardrobe. By the way, Target is having a sale on Yoga Pants! Holler! I didn’t buy any yesterday when I went but I did buy a new cross body bag and some new v necks. Those are also on sell.
I love Target.
As each day passes I realize more and more how hard it is going to be to leave here. Don’t get me wrong, I am totes excited! But I am slowly realizing how much I am going to miss everybody and everything here. Its all I have ever known. I love it here. However, I am ready for the new adventures and friends that this journey has in store for me. I know that this move is what is right for me and I cant wait to meet tons of new people and truly find myself.
One of the things I am going to miss most about Texas is the radio station 99.5 The Ranch. I seriously LOVE Texas Country music. It makes me happy. Its good for the soul… no but really. And I can all but guarantee that there is no radio station in Orem, Utah that plays Texas country music. So I am making lots of CDs to play when I am really missing it. I know for a fact there are current country stations because I listened to them when we were there on spring break so that is good.
Today I went to lunch with my grandparents. My Lala and Grandpa. I love them more than anything. They are so special to me and if anybody ever did anything to hurt them I would not hesitate to take that person out. Okay… I wouldn’t really kill anyone but I would make their life a living hell. We went to In and Out because they love it and I love it but the rest of my family hates it.
If you have never been to In and Out you should so go. Its delicious.
We also went to take some couple pictures of them. They wanted to take some because they haven’t had any in quite a long time.

Aren't they the cutest thing ever?

For dinner tonight we had chicken and dumplings… or as I like to call them chicken n dumplins. They were delicious as always. Yes, I know that is a lot of unhealthy food for one day… however I don’t know what they food is going to be like once I get to Orem. I do however know that I should be getting my fill of GOOD tex-mex while I am still here because they really just don’t know what good Mexican food is.  During spring break we went up there so I could meet my advisor and all that jaz. Well… we decided to try a little fast food “Mexican” place. So I ordered nachos. As the very rude counter lady described them to me she mentioned putting them in the microwave… so being curious I asked her “What kind of cheese do you put on these nachos?” and she replies “ Ummm…. Regular nacho cheese.” With this look of duh you stupid on her face. I still wasn’t quite convinced so for good measure I asked her “Queso?” and she says “ Yes, Queso. Cheese.” So I am getting tired of her attitude and I am about to say some things I probably shouldn’t so I just say fine. I’ll have that. The order comes to our table and what do I get but a pile of chips with SHREADED CHEESE and enchilada sauce that has been poured over it and stuck in the microwave to melt the cheese.
Now rather irritated I ask the lady, (Probably not in the nicest tone of voice) “What the crap is that?” and she replies “Its nachos! You ordered nachos. I told you like 3 times what came on them.”  Okay…. So here I am thinking she is just plain stupid and she most likely thinking the exact same thing about me. I say “ I asked if there was queso on these nachos, and you said yes” she says…. And I am not even joking “ Yes. There is cheese on your nachos! It is right there. Queso is cheese and cheese is queso! Its that melted yellow stuff!” okay so there was no reason for her to get irritated with me but now more than anything I just felt bad for this poor girl who has no clue that just because in your high school Spanish class they taught you that queso means cheese doesn’t mean that they are one in the same.
I didn’t say anything else to this poor girl. I just went to the salad bar and loaded up on jalapenos and onions and hot sauce and ate what I could of my supposed nachos.
So the moral of the story is that I am eating all of the good food that I can because I have no idea if everyone up there is that un cultured when it comes to food.
I just got an email telling me who my roommates are and when my move in time is.
My mailing address is 1125 West 1230 South Orem UT 84058.
Yeah again with the weird street names. But anyways you should write me letters… I really like mail… and packages. You know… anything that will put something in the mailbox. No seriously. Checking the mail is one of my favorite times of the day.
Lets be real, I did already look up my roommates on Facebook, I didn’t add them… I figured I would give that a couple days. Haha
