I didn't write on my last day at home. So this might be a rather long blog post. I have a lot of pictures.
Yesterday I said goodbye to my cousin Jennifer. If you have been reading this and don't already know, this is Marcus' girlfriend. But she was my cousin first. I love her so much and she is such a beautiful person. I will miss her.
On the way here we drove through this town that has a bunch of crosses made out of PVC pipe. These crosses are litteraly everywhere in this town. On every street corner, in peoples yards, in front of the restaurants. It is so weird. I remember last time we came through that town I thought it was odd but I didn't remember that much about it till my mom mentioned it. Weird right?
Then we got in to New Mexico. This is the last time I will be in Texas for 4 months. Okay, okay I know I am making a big deal out of this but I really do love Texas and I am going to miss it. But it has already started to get beautiful and I know that it only gets better and better.
Then this thing passed us. It is a police car. Apparently here in New Mexico they have planes that will catch you for speeding and then they call ahead to these aviation teams and they will pull you over. Its actually a tad creepy, because you can't see these planes, but they can see you. Its kind of like the government can listen to your phone calls but you don't know if they are. But yeah, I just thought that it was really weird.
We also stopped at cadillac ranch in Amarillo. It is so cool. Only pictures can explain.
Seriously one of the coolest things ever. There were these asian tourists there and they were having the time of their lives picking up spray paint cans to see if they were empty and then painting the stupidest things. HAHA
We just got back from dinner. We went to this place that serves "The best New Mexican food in Albuquerque" and I have to say it was pretty delicous. However, my face is still numb from how spicy it was and we left there over and hour ago. Whatever you do DO NOT get the green chile. Its a trap. But anywho I had a chile rellenos which by the way is my second favorite food, after jalapeños. It was kind of expensive and for a second there I was thinking they were a little bit too proud of their food. AND then they brought this to the table.
Okay. I have to admit.... this picture looks gross... however this thing was so delicious it should be illegal. Also, if you didn't know, they don't serve refried beans and rice. NO. That is not normal. They serve ranchero beans with potatoes. Cubed friend potatoes. A little weird, but HEY! it was good. I did ask for rice though and the very rude waitress said "We don't have that." Okay so that part wasn't very rude but everything else that came out of her mouth was.
Well we will be getting to Orem tomorrow around 7 and then I move in to my apartment on thursday at 2 .
